We are getting close to back to school season. I know, you dont want to hear it butttt its better to be prepared! Plus, what's better than DIY back to school crafts? They are original and fun! Today I am showing you guys how to make the cutest pineapple cutout cork board. This is perfect for your locker, dorm room or at home office.
Here is what you will need:
Cork board
razor blade
sharpie
craft paints
paper to draw your pineapple on to use as a stencil
Begin by sketching out the pineapple shape you want before cutting into your cork board. I went for a more geometric theme. Place the stencil on the cork board and trace all the way around it with a razor blade.
Now, you should have a complete duplicate of the pineapple stencil with the cork board.
Go ahead and get your sharpie ready for the next step!
Finish drawing in the shape of crown of the pineapple. You will need to see the difference between the body and crown of the fruit when painting it.
Pick your paints, and get started on the pineapple crown. I went with a mint green color.
As you can see, I used my razor to cut out 3 different sized triangles to use as stamps with the leftover cork board scraps. I dipped these is selected colors and stamped them all over the body of the pineapple.
I filled up the whole pineapple with fun colored triangles to stick to the geometric theme!
All done! How cute is this?? I'm LOVING mine! Hang in your locker, at your desk or in your dorm room. It's perfect for reminders, pictures and cute notes!
