Rainbow Macrame DIY

The darker the storm, the brighter the rainbow! ๐ŸŒˆ Light up your day with this colorful DIY! It can be used as wall decor, a key chain, or make someone's day and gift it to a friend!

Supplies:

  • Thick cotton cord
  • Thin cotton colorful cord
  • Craft wire
  • Scissors
  • Pins

First, measure how big you want the rainbow to be by cutting the thick cotton cord. The amount of colors and the size is completely up to you! I decided to use three colors and made it about the size of my hand.

Next, cut and tape the craft wire to shape each strand of the rainbow! The wire will keep the rainbow's shape. Make sure the wire is cut with room left at the end. With the space at the end, fray the thick cotton cord edges.

Now, you take the colored cord and start wrapping each color around each individual strand. Start right above where you stopped fraying the bottom! At the end, you form a loop to knot it off.

In order to keep the different strands together, use the pins to stick through each cord. Do this across the entire rainbow to ensure the entire rainbow stays pressed together.

That's it! ๐ŸŒˆ Hang your rainbow up in your room, place it on your desk or bedside table, or gift it to a friend! Stay tuned for more fun and easy DIY's! ๐Ÿ’›
