Vanilla Mint Iced Coffee Syrup

Iced coffee is a summer favorite! Now is the perfect time to experiment with new flavors of syrup in your iced coffee drink. This one is made with real vanilla beans, mint leaves, and sugar! Super easy to make at home. Vanilla extract just won't do for this simple syrup though. You will need to purchase Vanilla Bean from your local store that sells it. We found ours at World Market. Hope you love this new mint concoction to add to your drinks. Add it to your iced coffee of choice. Check out one of our previous blog posts on DIY COLD BREW . Our cold brew recipe pairs perfectly this this vanilla mint syrup! What you will need: -Sugar (1 cup) -Water (1 Cup) -Mint leaves (a small handful) -One Vanilla Bean Stick mint-1mint-2Step 1) Add 1 cup of sugar to a medium size sauce pan. mint-3Step 2) Add one cup of water into pan with your sugar. mint-5Step 3) Add handful of mint leaves to the pan with sugar and water. mint-6Step 4) Cut Vanilla bean stick down the middle. mint-9Step 5) Use knife to scrape out the little black beans contained inside the stick. mint-10Step 6) Add vanilla beans to pan with all ingredients. mint-11Step 7) Bring to a slight boil. Mix until sugar is dissolved. Pour into a mason jar or glass storing container. mint-12Step 8) Put in refrigerator to cool for several hours. (can leave alone for 1-2 days depending on the strength you want the mint flavoring.) mint-13Step 9) Prepare for use. Take syrup out of the fridge and strain the mint leaves and vanilla beans. mint-14 Last Steps: Preparing the perfect mint iced coffee drink. Add ice to you glass. Add milk of choice or half and half.
